Having had Dakotalive for my graduation ball back in 2009, there was only one choice for us when booking a band for our wedding.
The band are amazing and had the party going from the start. We asked David to sing Annie’s Song for our first dance and they performed a beautiful acoustic version which was perfect for us. Not only are they a great professional band but they made it really easy to work with on the run up to our wedding.
We wouldn’t look anywhere else if we needed a band for any type of function!

We used Dakotalive for our wedding in August 1st 2015 and they provided us with a great nights entertainment. They played a good selection of songs as well as playing some requested tracks. The dance floor was full all night and many of our guests commented on what a great night it was.'

Craig and I were married on 18th July, 2014 and had our evening reception at the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel. We would like to thank Dakotalive for the amazing job they did at our wedding. From the first dance to the last dance, the band were superb. Every song we wanted was played and the dance floor was never empty! I honestly don't think I've ever danced so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening reception and that was largely down to how good the band were. I would highly recommend Dakotalive to anyone looking to hire a very professional, yet friendly and accommodating band. They really know how to get everyone up on their feet.

Dakota played at our 25th Anniversary Dance in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on 21st June, 2013. This was a huge event for us and it was important that the evening was a success.

The band was fantastic, sounded great and catered for all ages. The dance floor was always full which contributed to making this night a fantastic evening for all.

Many of our guests commented on how good they thought the band was. Highly recommended.

We would like to say to David and the gang, “Thank you so very much” for making our wedding reception a real night to remember. From their brilliant version of Wonderful Tonight, our first song, right through the entire evening they were superb and the dance floor was always packed. Their fantastic rendition of I’m On My Way, our last song, really lifted the roof and was a real hit with everyone! Our guests raved about Dakota’s vocals and music and the hotel management even commented on their courteous manner and professionalism. David did a great job compering the cutting of the cake, and we just thought the band were great musicians but also good fun. No-one wanted the night to end!

November 2009- Management Centre, Stirling University Nurses Graduation
On 28th November, Dakota performed at the Stirling Management Centre, in the grounds of Stirling University, entertaining a lively and very enthusiastic crowd of 180 at the Graduates Ball. Pictured with the band is Louise Nutini who organised the event. Dakota played 3 sets of dance friendly tunes and by the time the disco wound down at 1 a.m. it was clear that the young graduates had just as much fun as the band!
